Coinroom crypto exchange closed along with client assets

The Polish crypto exchange Coinroom suddenly closed without paying its customers, writes Finance Magnates referring to the local news portal Money.pl.

Events began to develop on April 2, when the exchange sent letters to clients in which it notified them of the upcoming break of contracts and asked to withdraw the funds remaining on the platform. Users who did not complete a withdrawal request within the specified time frame were encouraged to contact the company directly. Such an opportunity was established in accordance with the rules of use of the platform, which each of them signed at the time of opening accounts..

Money.pl, however, states that many users received payments only partially or did not receive them at all. The total losses of clients are unknown, but they themselves name amounts from $ 79 to $ 15,660.

One of the users reported that he ordered a payment of 2 BTC and even received confirmation from Coinroom, but not the cryptocurrency itself. Meanwhile, dozens of other former clients are flooding the forums with complaints..

Coinroom, for its part, stopped contacting users and closed all social media accounts and completely erased data from the main website. The exchange has been operating since 2016.
